Madhya Pradesh youth to get Youth Commission
January 13th, 2012 - 12:02 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhopal, Jan 12 (IANS) On the occasion of Yuva Diwas, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced Thursday that a Youth Commission would be set up and a student welfare fund with an initial amount of Rs.50 crore.
The chief minister who was speaking at Vidyarthi Panchayat at his residence said the Youth Commission will cover education, sports and youth welfare.
“Higher Education Guarantee Scheme will be simplified. Under the scheme, interest-free loan upto Rs.4.50 lakh and 50 percent interest-free loan upto Rs.7 lakh will be made available. Development cells for women will be constituted in all the colleges. A regulatory body will be constituted for coaching classes. Five percent seats will
be reserved for farmers’ children in agriculture colleges. Agriculture education will be given importance on par with medical education,” Chouhan addressed participant youth on the occasion.
