New Delhi, Feb 25 (IANS) The Lok Sabha Monday condoled the death of Shiv Sena MP Prakash Paranjpe, mountaineer Edmund Hillary and social activist Baba Amte. Condoling the death of Paranjpe, who represented Thane since 1996 and died on Feb 20 in Mumbai, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee said the Shiv Sena leader was an active politician and a social worker.

Hillary passed away on Jan 11 in New Zealand.

Remembering Murlidhar Devidas Amte, popularly known as Baba Amte, who died on Feb 9, the speaker said he was amongst the most “inspirational social activists of our times”.
