New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon Monday as opposition MPs disrupted question hour, demanding a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) probe in the allocation of 2G spectrum. Rajya Sabha was disbanded for the day to mark the death of a sitting member.
This was the 17th successive sitting in the Lok Sabha when the question hour was not held in the winter session.
As soon as Lok Sabha convened, the opposition, adamant in their demand for a JPC probe into the allotment of 2G spectrum, raised slogans, forcing Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the house till 12.
In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Hamid Ansari read out an obituary reference from Janata Dal-United member M. Rajashekhar Reddy, who died after a heart attack in Delhi Sunday. In a mark of respect, Ansari adjourned the Rajya Sabha for the day.
