New Delhi, Dec 18 (IANS) Amid a persistent din over the issue of statehood to Telangana, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Friday adjourned the house sine die after completing all legislative business on the agenda.
There was continuous uproar in the Lok Sabha over the Telangana issue after the house reassembled at noon for Zero Hour.
As slogans for and against the formation of Telangana continued, the speaker asked various ministers and members to continue with the business on agenda.
But her directives had little effect and she finally declared the house adjourned sine die - indefinitely - at 12.20 p.m.
Earlier in the morning, Question Hour had to be adjourned within 20 minutes of the meeting having commenced as Telugu Desam Party and Congress MPs verbally clashed over Telangana.
