July 29th, 2009 - 3:45 pm ICT by IANS
New Delhi, July 29 (IANS) The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the third time Wednesday, as soon as it convened after lunch, as opposition MPs shouted slogans against the government. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had been scheduled to make a statement on the India-Pakistan joint statement.
The house was adjourned till 3 p.m.
The statement issued on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit at Sharm-el-Sheikh July 16 has been drawing much flak from the opposition MPs, who accuse the government of “selling out” to Pakistan.
