Lisa Murkowski: The Republican from Alaska confident of Victory

October 31, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Lisa Murkowski, the Republican representative from Alaska, who has been amongst the 160 last minute names to be filed for the elections, is on a very positive thought process, and is counting on a victory with quite a large margin to oust her two opponents, the Democrat Scott Mc. Adams and the Republican Joe Miller.
As the Democrat Scott Mc. Adams is a strong contender, the National Senatorial Republican Committee had to spend a fortune in trying to promote Murkowski, who has managed to gain momentum in the region, with her non stop campaign to help those Alaskans who do not know how to speak English,or who do not know how to read and write anything in it.
Murkowski’s latest campaign has been to distribute leaflets in languages like Spanish, Russian, Korean, etc, to help these communities cast their votes easily.
However, the court ruling that a guideline can be distributed by the reps contesting has also raised questions about the fact that if there is any wrongly spelt vote or any other problem in deciphering the votes, then the second person in line would automatically be declared the winner.
However, not withstanding these hurdles, Murkowski is to go on a promotion tour this weekend, along with her opponents, to make a final call, as to why they should be supported by the voters.
Joe Miller, who was supposedly thought of as being weaker than the Democrat Scott Adams, was the main reason behind Murkowski’s entering into the mainstream in a big way.
Recently, Murkowski was in Valdez for a Town Hall meeting, and Mc.Adams in Fairbanks.
Murkowski was also seen rallying with supporters in Juneau, and she also addressed a very ethnically diversified group in Anchorage,on Saturday.
