Last one year was difficult for UPA: Khurshid

New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS) The last one year had been difficult for the government, union Law Minister Salman Khurshid said Tuesday as the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government comes under increasing attack for failing to tackle corruption.
“The last one year was difficult for us (government). Some things have gone wrong and they are wrong but not as wrong as they are being projected. They may have serious consequences but nowhere near what they are being made,” Khurshid told reporters during an interaction at the Indian Women Press Corps (IWPC) here.
Hitting out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Khurshid said what happened in Karnataka was far bigger than what the opposition has been accusing the government of. He was referring to former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa being arrested on charges of corruption
“In Karnataka the head of the state was involved in corruption whereas in centre a relatively junior MP in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) matter and a minister belonging to another alliance party in 2G case have been involved,” he said.
