New York, Sep 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Labor Day celebrations have started in the United States. The ceremony is used to honor the country’s workers.
The celebration, which is held on the first Monday of September, is already underway and President Barack Obama is expected to give a speech during the ceremony.
There is no doubt that the current United States President’s popularity has gone down especially with the way he is handling the United States economy, but he is expected to reassure American workers during his speech.
But that will do little to change the fact that the number of employed Americans are getting lower. The United States employment report is expected to be released on Friday and analysts are already predicting that the country’s unemployment rate will drop to 9.6%.
But most American workers have welcomed the day and they are taken the necessary rest to face the subsequent task ahead in the coming days. Kids are also expected to enjoy their last holiday before they go back to school. It ought to be mentioned that the Labor Day is the last holiday before school reopens in the United States.
Other parties and celebrations have been planned throughout the United States. Families’ use the occasion to meet and new movies were released on the Labor Day weekend. Many parades and picnics have been planned through out the country.
