Kwame Kilpatrick And His Father Facing Legal Wrath Owing To Corruption Charges

Dec 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Detroit’s former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his father Bernard Kilpatrick were indicted on Wednesday by a US Federal court on the charges of corruption that were recently levied against them. Both the father and son are facing corruption charges for having obtained large amount of money illegally from rigged municipal contracts. The charges were issued against against them after the racket busted through investigations exposed a large amount of cash from the duo.
Both Kwame Kilpatrick and Bernard Kilpatrick are facing the wrath of the law. According to reports the scam that has been exposed about the father-son duo could highly result in a six year old probing from the side of the legal investigators. Until the text messaging scandal came to the lime light 40 year old Kwame Kilpatrick was reigning high in the Detroit City hall. His fall began with the exposition of the text scandal which was highlighted by his own once upon a time trusted aides. The text scandal threw light on an affair between him and his chief of staff. The former mayor is facing a number of charges and some sources claim that he was even face a sentence of 30 years of imprisonment.
This year in June Kwame Kilpatrick had already been indicted by the federal jury in relation to a charity organization which was under him. On Wednesday, his father who is a former Wayne County Commissioner faced charges which were found in the racketeering. The corruption levied against them a day ago includes all heinous crimes ranging from conspiracies, accepting bribes, extortion, tax evasion to mail and wire fraud charges.
