Krishna must resign, demands BJP

New Delhi, Jan 20 (IANS) The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Friday demanded the resignation of External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna after the Karnataka High Court allowed probe into charges that he had illegally de-reserved large forest areas for mining when he was chief minister.
“BJP demands he must resign on moral grounds immediately because a proper investigation in going on in his role,” BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.
“I would like to ask the Congress leaders, the prime minister and Sonia Gandhi that they used to shout a lot that Mr. Yeddyurappa (former Karnataka chief minister) must resign. The moment the Lokayukta report came (indicting Yeddyurappa) he did resign,” he said.
