Krishna congratulates Pranab

Bangalore, July 22 (IANS) Foreign Minister S. M. Krishna Sunday congratulated Pranab Mukherjee on winning the presidential poll by a huge margin.
In a statement released to the media here, Krishna praised Mukherjee as “a leading expert in economics and a great administrator”.
He noted that Mukhejee was taking over as the president at a time when the world had high expectations from India.
“We and the people have full confidence that Mukherjee will work to meet these expectations,” Krishna said.
He thanked Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as well as the legislators and parliamentarians for Mukherjee’s huge victory.
