Kerala minister down with swine flu
September 12th, 2009 - 11:02 pm ICT by IANSThiruvananthapuram, Sep 12 (IANS) Newly appointed Kerala Transport Minister Jose Thettayil has tested positive for Influenza A(H1N1), an official confirmed Saturday.
The test result came Saturday night, confirming that Thettayil is down with swine flu, Amar S. Fettle, state nodal officer of H1N1, told IANS.
“Right now he is admitted to a private hospital here,” said Fettle.
Thettayil, who belongs to a faction of the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) which owes its allegiance to the ruling Left Democratic Front, was sworn in last month.
