Kenny Quinn dies in Las Vegas at the age of 73 years

kenny-st Las Vegas, July 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kenny Quinn who was the former Republican Governor in Nevada passed away on Thursday in an accident at his home when he was undertaking repairs. He fell from the roof of his home and died at 73.

Current Gov. Jim Gibbons succeeded the former Governor who died at the University Medical Centre where he was rushed after the accident. Investigation is underway to indicate whether the fall was the cause of death or there were other factors as well, which led to the unfortunate death of the former Governor.

Dema Quinn, who is the Governor’s wife alerted the police after she found him at around 10.30 am, according to a statement by the Quinn family’s spokesperson Billy Vassiliadis.

Flags at state buildings have been ordered to be lowered by the Governor Gibbons who also issued a sympathetic statement.

Bill Raggio, minority leader of the state senate said that Quinn was “undoubtedly one of the best public servants who has ever served and one of the best governors we’ve ever had.”

In his tenure as governor, Quinn brought so many innovative reforms such as increasing the tax base of the state, extended scholarships to more students, etc.
