dallas1Dallas, Feb 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Keith Olbermann has reportedly said “no” to an invitation sent to him by the Tea Party which celebrated its anniversary last Saturday, 27th February in front of the Dallas City Hall. The conservative talk show host has reportedly declined to pay a visit to the most famous anti-big-government Tea Party mentioning his father’s ill health as the reason for his absence.

However, many think that Keith Olbermann’s denial follows his open criticism of the Tea-Party in his famous talk show “Countdown” in MSNBC last Tuesday. In the show Keith Olbermann has reportedly doubted the Tea-Party’s racial diversity and said that he could only see a white crowd in the Tea-Party’s rally pictures. This has led the Tea-Party members to criticize the talk show host and it has in turn launched a video on Web where the white employees of MSNBC have been featured. In the video the narrator reportedly says, “We have more diversity on our three-person steering committee than your entire TV network lineup”.

On Saturday a huge crowd assembled outside Dallas City Hall to celebrate the anniversary of the Tea-Party. The party put on list several black members to address the crowd. According to reports Alfonzo “Zo” Rachel while speaking to the crowd criticized Keith Olbermann’s statement saying that the white liberalist is trying to project the Tea-party as a group of Conservative white Christians. At the Tea-Party’s anniversary eminent personalities like defensive-back of NFL Scott Turner were seen. Though Scott Turner is not a member of the Tea-Party he accepted the invitation and addressed the crowd which seemed more than pleased with his enthusiastic speech.
