Karunanidhi extends tacit support to Chidambaram
September 27th, 2011 - 1:26 am ICT by IANSChennai, Sep 26 (IANS) DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M.Karunanidhi Monday extended tacit support to union Home Minister P.Chidambaram whose resignation the opposition has been demanding for his alleged role in the 2G spectrum scam.
Speaking to reporters here, Karunanidhi said he was against any move to unseat any union minister from Tamil Nadu.
Chidambaram is under opposition fire for agreeing with the jailed former communications A.Raja on the pricing of telecom spectrum/radio waves that resulted in loss to the exchequer.
Karunanidhi said attempts are being made to get bail for his daughter Kanimozhi, jailed in the 2G spectrum case as co-conspirator with Raja.
