Bangalore, March 1 (IANS) The Congress in Karnataka Sunday finalised names of probable candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and sent the list to Delhi for the party central leadership’s approval.
The list contains names of two or three candidates for each of the 28 seats. The list was prepared at the end of two-day discussion with state party leaders by Congress general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad Sunday evening, sources said.
Azad, who arrived here Saturday, is taking the list to Delhi.
The names were finalised after three teams headed by senior leaders met district and block level leaders of the party.
The teams were headed by state unit working president D.K. Shivakumar, former chief minister N. Dharam Singh and former deputy chief minister Siddaramaiah.
