New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Sushma Swaraj Sunday said the lingering crisis in the Karnataka government has been resolved.
Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and his arch rival Tourism Minister G. Janardhana Reddy held hands in a show of unity.
A beaming Sushma Swaraj, who is known to be close to Reddy, told reporters here: “The problem has been resolved amicably.”
“Both (Yeddyurappa and Janardhana Reddy) will go to (senior leader L.K.) Advani-ji to seek his blessings. Party president Rajnath Singh and (senior leaders) Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley will also reach there,” she said.
“We have asked them to go together and serve the people of Karnataka,” she added.
A visibly elated Yeddyurappa said: “The issue has been resolved. We are together now. This problem will not arise again.”
The BJP’s first government in Karnataka and in south India was facing a leadership row for the past fortnight.
