Kalyan Singh forms new party on birthday

Lucknow, Jan 5 (IANS) Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh announced formation of his new Jan Kranti Party on his birthday Tuesday and said he would work as its “patron”.
“I will work as a patron for this party. The party will be led by Rajvir Singh alias Raju Bhaiyya,” Singh told reporters.
A former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Kalyan Singh has fallen out with the BJP in recent years. He was loosely associated with the Samajwadi Party during the 2009 general elections.
