Jyoti Basu taken to hospital
January 1st, 2010 - 7:38 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Jan 1 (IANS) Nonagenarian Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader and former West Bengal chief minister Jyoti Basu was Friday taken to a hospital after catching a cold infection.
CPI-M sources said the 96-year-old leader was advised hospitalisation by doctors for tests after he complained of indisposition due to severe cold.
“He has a fluctuating temperature. But he is completely in his senses,” the sources said.
