Jyoti Basu showing signs of multi-organ failure: doctor

Kolkata, Jan 15 (IANS) Marxist patriarch Jyoti Basu is “showing signs of multi-organ failure”, a doctor attending on him said Friday.
Attending doctor Susrut Bannerjee said the 95-year-old Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader’s condition was deteriorating and he was “showing signs of multi-organ failure”.
Basu, who was chief minister of West Bengal for 23 years, has been in AMRI Hospital since Jan 1.
