According to sources, former president Jimmy Carter has reportedly unleashed his fury on the critics of the US President Barack Obama as he said that “racism” is the clamor behind the repeated outburst against Obama regarding his health care reforms.
“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American,” said the former president. “I live in South, and I have seen South come a long way, and I have seen the rest of the country that has shared the South’s attitude toward minority groups at that time, especially African-Americans. And that racism inclination still exists….It’s an abominable circumstance and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply,” added Carter.
The aforementioned speech delivered by Mr. Jimmy Carter again reignites the issue involving the racism block in America. The avid supporters of the US president have always alleged that Barack Obama has been a victim of racism as he is an African-American by birth. The recent insult hurled by Rep. Joe Wilson at the President during his Congressional Speech has reportedly prompted the former president Jim Carter to announce that the president has been a victim of racism.
According to the sources, Carter also predicted that the US President will gradually overcome all the odds and that he will be able to “triumph over the racist attitude that is the basis for the negative environment that we see so vividly demonstrated in public affairs in recent days”.
