‘Jaswant, Joshi, Advani, Sushma don’t talk to each other’

London, Sep 11 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Murali Manohar Joshi, L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and their former colleague Jaswant Singh have stopped talking to each other, according to Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora.
“I don’t want to criticise the BJP, but it is shocking to see Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha people - Jaswant Singh, Joshi, Advani, Sushma Swaraj (and) one or two more senior leaders… they don’t talk to each other,” Deora told Indian journalists here Thursday.
“They are fighting over a single seat of the Public Accounts Committee. Uspey itna lada…It’s shameful, I tell you. Ek seat ke ley…”
“All the parties have problems - we had problems when the Congress party divided - but not to this extent,” said Deora, adding, “In Maharashtra (state elections) also, they’ll do very badly now.”
Deora was in London leading a delegation to seek bids for oil and gas exploration in India.
Jaswant Singh was expelled from the BJP following the release of his book “Jinnah - India, Partition, Independence”, in which he held that the founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, had been unfairly demonised in India.
