Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi remains hospitalized after attack

Berlusconi attacked Milan, Dec 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi who was attacked in the face yesterday in a rally in Milan, will be hospitalized for quite some time. Apparently the attack has caused more wounds that was originally expected and is not just a trivial, superficial facial wound.

“His condition is more serious than what we thought last night,” said Dr. Alberto Zangrillo. “He can feed himself, but with difficulty.”

The Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, suffered a broken nose, two fractured teeth and a lacerated lip, yesterday in the Milan attack and is now being kept under observation at least through tomorrow. He also lost around a pint of blood, according to the doctors. And the doctors are saying that he will require at least 3 weeks to recover fully. Berlusconi was attacked by a mentally ill electronics whiz with a model of a cathedral.

It may be recalled that the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was hit on the face, which bloodied his nose and face, at a rally in Milan. He was also knocked to the ground after the attack. The attack on the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi happened when he was greeting his supporters in Milan.

According to Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, a small group of protesters were shouting slogans and whistling during the rally.

During the gathering he told supporters: “They paint me as a monster, but I don’t think I am one - firstly because I am good-looking and secondly because I’m a decent chap”.
