It was BJP versus BJP in Himachal assembly

Shimla, March 15 (IANS) It was literally BJP versus BJP in the Himachal Pradesh assembly Tuesday as one of the party’s senior legislators blamed Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal for the lack of development in his constituency.
Not satisfied with Dhumal’s reply during question hour in the state assembly, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator and former minister Hari Narayan Saini said: “During the last three years of the government, only one scheme from the MLA’s priorities has been sanctioned in my constituency (Nalagarh).”
He said most of the schemes that are currently under execution have been approved by the previous Congress government regime. “Even the funds for these projects came from the central government,” he said.
“With what achievements do I face the electorates in the next assembly elections,” Saini asked Dhumal.
He said from the legislator’s priorities, only one road scheme was sanctioned out of the nine. “No drinking water and minor irrigation scheme was sanctioned.”
Saini’s assertions in the assembly were music to the ears of the opposition Congress members, who repeatedly applauded by thumping of tables.
Replying to the debate, Dhumal said: “The schemes would be sanctioned depending upon the availability of the funds.”
