iris Dublin, Jan 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A former Northern Ireland MP Iris Robinson, got a 50,000 pounds loan for her teenage lover, so that he could fulfill his dream of opening a restaurant. A thorough investigation is going to be carried out into all the financial dealings made by Iris Robinson, by the crime branch of the police service of Northern Ireland.

After the scandal became public knowledge then Iris was expelled from her Democratic Unionist Party and she also had to quit as MP. According to reports, Robinson got around 25,000 pounds each from 2 influential and financially well-off Northern Ireland property developers. These property developers who donated her the money are Kenny Campbell and Fred Fraser.

Iris Robinson’s lover was Kirk McCambley, who at that point of time was only 19 years of age, and he wanted to open a restaurant, but he didn’t have the financial backing to do so. Iris was a very influential woman, so she helped him out, but unfortunately she also landed in the murky soup when the scandal broke out. She was married to Peter Robinson, who is the leader of the Democratic Unionist Party. Finally she confessed to her husband too, about her affair and also tried to commit suicide, when she was hit by remorse over her actions.
