Jakarta, Jan 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The very generous Indonesian MP’s have decided to do something for their President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, whose salary has been fixed since the last 7 years. The Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono lamented that he hasn’t seen even one pay hike in the last 7 years.

So now the Indonesian MP’s have decided to do something about the sad situation. They have placed a transparent collection box in the country’s parliamentary building. Despite the fact that the box has been placed in a prominent hallway, yet so far it has managed to collect just a few coins.

The salary of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is said to be 62 million rupiah, which is approximately 4,300 pounds a month. He feels the pinch, because even the Central Bank governor earns more than him. Even executives of numerous state owned companies earn around 265 million rupiah.

The Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is currently in his second term. During his time as the president, the country has seen a period of stability and there has also been steady economic growth during the last few years. However at the same time, corruption is rampant in the country, which thwarts foreign investment.
