Iftikhar Chaudhry to be restored as Pakistan chief justice: report

Islamabad, March 16 (IANS) The Pakistan government has decided to reinstate deposed Pakistan chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Geo TV reported Monday.
Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani would reinstate the deposed chief justice through an executive order, the channel reported quoting opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar.
Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry was sacked in November 2007 by then-president and army chief Pervez Musharraf.
