New Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Tuesday refused to comment on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s indictment by the Liberhan Commission saying that the former prime minister was a “very senior politician”.
In an obvious bid to steer away from controversies, Gandhi evaded any comment on Vajpayee being indicted by the Liberhan Commission probing the Babri Masjid demolition.
“Vajpayeeji is a very senior politician and I owe him deep respect. As far as his indictment is concerned, I would not like to make any comment as I am not aware of the full contents of the report,” Gandhi said at a crowded press conference here.
