New Delhi, Dec 10 (IANS) Cherie Blair, wife of former British prime minister Tony Blair, who was here Saturday to inaugurate the Loomba Foundation’s annual charity dinner, says coming to India makes her feel like an NRI.

“It’s always so wonderful to come to India. I always feel like an NRI. Everytime I come here, I feel like I’m home,” Blair said while addressing the media.

Blair, who is the president of the Loomba Foundation, arrived in the capital Saturday afternoon via a delayed flight. However, she looked extremely fresh and elegant in a black-coloured, velvet, embroidered sherwani style kurta.

She even handed over mementos and certificates to a few businessmen who came forward to support the foundation’s prime cause of educating children of poor widows in India.

Also present at the event were the foundation’s chairman trustee, Raj Loomba, and its international goodwill ambassador, Bollywood actress Kajol. Her actor husband Ajay Devgn was also due to attend the event, but he got caught up shooting in Patiala for a film project.
