I am in favour of smaller states: Nitish Kumar

Patna, Dec 10 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said Thursday he favoured the creation of more smaller states in the country for “good governance and development”.
“I am strongly in favour of creation of more smaller states in India for good governance and development,” Nitish Kumar said here after the central government agreed to the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Nitish Kumar said more smaller states would help solve the problems faced by different regions.
“Creation of more smaller states will pave the way for good governance and help to resolve issues keeping in view the aspirations of people in different regions,” he said.
The Bihar chief minister said there were several large states in India that have to be look into for creation of smaller states.
