I am delighted, says Ansari
August 7th, 2012 - 10:44 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) Re-elected vice president for the second term, Hamid Ansari Tuesday evening said he was delighted with the result and that he will work for the welfare of all sections of people.
“I am delighted with the result…I will work with the MPs for the welfare of all sections of people,” Ansari told reporters.
He thanked the MPs who voted for him.
Ansari, the candidate of the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA), got 490 votes against his National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rival Jaswant Singh’s 238.
