Hurriyat leader critically injured in Srinagar shooting
December 4th, 2009 - 8:22 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Srinagar, Dec 4 (IANS) Unidentified gunmen opened fire and critically wounded Fazl Haque Qureshi, senior separatist leader and executive committee member of the moderate Hurriyat faction, here Friday evening, police said.
He was reportedly shot at in Soura locality of Srinagar.
A police officer said suspected guerrillas fired at Qureshi, the chairman of Peoples Political Front and executive committee member of the moderate Hurriyat group headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
One of the senior most separatist leaders, Qureshi has been moved to a hospital in a critical condition.
