Himachal governor meets Sonia Gandhi

Shimla, Jan 30 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh Saturday met Congress president Sonia Gandhi, an official statement said.
“Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh met Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi. It was a courtesy call,” said the statement.
Urmila Singh, the 23rd governor of the state, assumed charge Jan 25.
She is the fourth woman governor of the state since its inception in January 1971. The others were Prabha Rau, Sheila Kaul and V.S. Rama Devi.
Urmila Singh’s predecessor Rau has been posted as governor of Rajasthan.
