Jeddah, Feb 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently was faced with questions involving the possible presidency of Republican Sarah Palin. She was asked by a student whether she will leave USA in case Sarah Palin, the former Alaskan Governor becomes the President of USA. Hillary Clinton was in Jeddah’s Dar Al-Hekma college. It was on the last day of her Middle East visit consisting of 3 days. A male member of the audience popped this question which took many by surprise. The student also asked if she would consider an emigration to Russia or Canada.
However, the question did not take Hillary Clinton by surprise. She maintained her composure and responded to the query with laughter. She replied that she will not leave USA or shift to another country in case Sarah Palin becomes the president of USA. She later added that she was not amused by the question at all. She clarified that in the political circle of the United States people like speculating on potential presidents and she has gone through it personally. The meeting that was attended by Hillary Clinton began two hours later than the timing and lasted for more than an hour.
The speech and reply of Hillary Clinton is now available on the web for downloading. This incident once again proves the fact that Sarah Palin is a politician who manages to stay in the headlines even when she is not involved in any event. While replying to the question, Hillary Clinton said that she would not allow herself to be dragged into a controversy regarding prospective Republican candidates vying for presidency.
