Hillary Clinton Apr 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The criteria for the next Supreme Court Nominee has left President Obama with an interesting but serious decision. After the vacancy which was opened up by the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens, many names have been dropped as to who may be the next candidate for the Supreme Court Justice spot.

Among those mentioned, a report by MSNBC has announced that Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolatino. She has an interesting take on immigration, stating that coming into America without proper paperwork is not a criminal offense but a civil one. John Kerry has also been reported to be interested in the position, however that would cause his Senate seat to be in danger, if he no longer ran for re-election and chose instead to shift to the Secretary of State post.

In an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” Senator Orrin Hatch revealed that he overheard Hillary Clinton’s name in connection with the vacancy. He appeared on the show with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy. Hatch did not elaborate, only stating, “I heard Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s name today and that would be an interesting person in the mix.” He did not say whether or not he would support Clinton, but he did say that he liked her and felt that she had done a good job for the Democrats. Hatch is a Republican from Utah. Leahy, who is a Democrat retorted, “I think she’s done a good job for the country, not just for Democrats.”
