Health Care Reforms Easier On Budget: Representative John Dingell

john4Washington, Feb 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Representative John Dingell made a case in point when he went up on stage as the last speaker at the Health Care Summit called on by President Barack Obama. The Summit was a bipartisan one, and was held on Feb 25, Thursday. The speech of the longest serving member of the Congress, and also the member of the Congress who have worked longest on the health care bill turned out to be full of his characteristic flair. Drawing instances from the Bible, he acknowledged in his speech all the shortcomings of the health care reform bill, but ended in a very convincing note, urging the people of the country to pass the legislation.

Representative John Dingell mentioned in his speech that the health care reform bill does not constitute the ultimate answer to all the problems that plague the health care system in the United States. However, he did emphasize that the reforms would be a great step toward solving one of the biggest problems of all, namely, the affordability issue. Dwelling on this, he mentioned that the health care reforms that would be introduced would make the system much more affordable for the American with an average income.

Representative John Dingell acknowledged the act that reforming the health care system of the country is a huge task, and recognized its imperfections. However, he emphasized that the reforms would be reducing the cost of health care immensely, stressing that in that respect it is definitely a step towards betterment. He also drew on the opinion of the Congressional Budget Office, which had claimed that the reforms are budget neutral, insisting that they would be just the opposite.
