reema-2Washington, March 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a long wait on Sunday, the final verdict was passed on the Health Care bill. The House of Representatives voted in favor of the Health Care reform bill and got it passed with 219 votes. The bill was strongly opposed by the Republicans who according to reports, will continue with their opposition of it. According to the Republicans, the reform which is being introduced is unacceptable. The Bill will be signed as soon as possible by the President, after which it will be put in front of the Senate.

The new reform will change the health care system and the insurance policy coverage. According to reports, the President of America feels that the reform will make the health policies more people friendly than Insurance company friendly. The Health Care reform which was a dream for the Democrats, promises to provide health coverage to around than 32 million uninsured Americans. According to the new bill, state-based exchanges will provide insurance at a subsidized rate to the individuals and families, whose income fall within 133 percent to 400 percent of the poverty level. Coverage can be purchased by small business owners from a separate exchange. Not only will the government provide the subsidized exchanges, but it will also help states to create exchanges within one year of the implementation of the law which will be extended until Jan 1, 2015.

The new reform will according to reports, cost $940 billion over the period of ten years. While in the first ten years of the implementation of the plans, there would be a deficit reduction by $143 billion and it is being estimated that in the next ten years, the deficit will be reduced by $1.2 billion dollars.

Obama “won”, and SOME people “won” but the majority of the middle class people LOST BIG TIME! He should have addressed the insurance FRAUD that is going on now with the Medicaid population!!

I’d like to ask all who are in favor of this bill and defend it so much, does it bother you that your freedom of choice is taken away from you? Do you ask yourselves what will be forced on me next? Do you not see the big picture and are you just out to defend your side even if it may be wrong. Speakling for myself and many others against it, If the bill was put that I have an option to CHOOSE if I want it or not, I would be totally fine and even say I give the president credit to trying to fix the healtcare problem, but when it is shoved down my throath like dictatorship that is another story. How would you like it is I say you have to buy a certain car I am selling and if you don’t you will be fined, does that make you feel good, then I can push something else down your throath and turn you into a puppet. Like that??

I think people are over-blowing this debate into a right-versus-left argument. The American people won with this bill. People were saying the same thing about medicare-medicaid, and social security. Government is not the answer but there are things the government can do which are grand programs like this.

Watching this debate from across the pond in the UK, I am reminded of the sheer size of the USA. Reports over here draw correlation between our NHS health care and your system, there is absolutely no comparison.

There is such a vast difference between those that can afford choice and those who cannot. I’m sure that those who cannot afford health care insurance would gladly give up their choice if it means that their children will be healthy.

From what I see this will take at least 20 years to turn around and not just a matter of President Obama clicking his fingers and it becomes so.
