obama2Washington, Jan 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The defeat of the Democratic Party in the Massachusetts election has jeopardized the Health care reform bill that is still awaiting its fate in the Senate. As per the reports, some of the strong Democrat leaders have asked to stop any voting on the bill before the newly elected Republican Scott Brown comes to the Senate. Though the Democrats have taken this decision to allow Senator-elect Scott Brown to express his opinion, some have considered it as a wrong move. Senator-elect Scott Brown has always opposed the bill and would take all possible steps to prevent the bill from getting accepted in the Senate.

The reports also stated that the victory of Scott Brown in the election has become a cause of concern for the Democratic camp. They have faced severe criticisms for this bill. It has been reported that the Democrats are even considering to place a smaller bill that can get approval without much hurdles. According to the reports, after Attorney-General Martha Coakley lost the special election of Massachusetts, President Barack Obama, on Wednesday indicated that his party may cut down some clauses of the Health care reform bill. It will ensure that the bill receives a bipartisan support.

As the Democratic Party no longer holds their sixty seat majority in the Senate, it would not be possible for them to get a bill approved easily and so they might have decided to take such a step. However, there is no detailed information that the clauses would not remain when the bill would be presented to the Congress.
