Dec 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Democrats passed the health care plan that gives a victory for the Obama Administration. Legislators passed the health care reform plan with a 60-39 vote. President Obama stated that the vote is an historic moment, making health care reform closer to becoming a reality to many Americans with out health care insurance. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement that this would help to provide affordable insurance to the middle class and add security to our seniors citizens.
Republicans were against the bill and asked for more constraints to the health care reform bill. The bill would be made available in 2014 and would omit insurance companies from denying Americans with pre-existing medical conditions, which would begin in 2013.
It is thought that the health insurance bill would help an estimated 30 million Americans if no t more and it would cut the deficit by $130 billion within a decade with more dollars saved in 10 years. This plan should also lower premiums for many that already have health care insurance.
The health care reform bill would force large employers to provide health insurance or face a fine, it would also allow some employees to purchase their own insurance if preferred. Hospitals and doctors would lower their fees for patients who have Medicare, an insurance plan that is available to senior citizens.
Their is still a dispute over how abortions would be handled and a debate will take place in Senate. Other information in the bill stills need to be worked out and it is expected to be resolved before the final bill is in place.
