Hazare to fast to protest crackdown against Ramdev
June 5th, 2011 - 8:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 5 (IANS) Rights activist Anna Hazare Sunday announced a one-day fast at the Jantar Mantar Wednesday to protest the government’s midnight crackdown on yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s anti-corruption agitation.
“We have decided that a day-long fast would be organised June 8 at Jantar Mantar. We ask people to join us nationwide,” Hazare said at a press briefing here.
“They can join us through their support from any part of the country,” Hazare added.
