Haryana reshuffles three dozen bureaucratsJuly 11th, 2008 - 7:28 pm ICT by IANS
Chandigarh, July 11 (IANS) In a major administrative reshuffle, the Haryana government has transferred 34 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 2 Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officials. Major changes were made in the departments of health, woman and child development, education, agriculture, forests and environment, power, excise, transport, social justice and animal husbandry.
Some of the senior IAS officers who have been transferred include G. Prasanna Kumar, who has been posted as financial commissioner and principal secretary, women and child development, a spokesman said here Friday.
Krishna Mohan, financial commissioner-animal husbandry will now head the agriculture department.
Jyoti Arora has been appointed director and special secretary-higher education.
S.S. Dhillon, who is special secretary and director, town and country planning and urban estates department has been given the additional charge of commissioner and secretary, housing department.
