Chandigarh, March 10 (IANS) A legislator belonging to the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) was Monday suspended for the entire budget session of the Haryana assembly following heated arguments in the house. The speaker suspended legislator Ram Phal Chidana after the house passed a resolution moved by Power Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala.
Chidana was suspended for the entire budget session for misconduct after heated exchanges with the treasury benches and other legislators.
Trouble started when Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala was speaking on the governor’s address and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator Arjun Singh objected to some of his remarks.
Following arguments, Chidana stepped in and had a heated exchange with Arjun Singh.
All INLD members then walked out of the house.
