Haryana Congress president Mullana loses election
October 22nd, 2009 - 3:53 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Oct 22 (IANS) In a major embarrassment to the ruling Congress in Haryana, the party’s state president Phool Chand Mullana Thursday lost the election from the Mulana (reserved) assembly seat in Ambala district.
Mullana, who was earlier a minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led government, was defeated by Rajbir Singh Barara of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) by 2,937 votes.
