Harish Khare of The Hindu to be PM’s media advisor

New Delhi, June 19 (IANS) Senior associate editor and bureau chief of The Hindu Harish Khare will be the media advisor to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, said reliable sources.
Khare, 62, has a Phd in political science from Yale University and has an illustrious career in journalism for over 35 years.
Prior to his job in The Hindu, where he has been for over 15 years, Khare was the resident editor of the Times of India, Ahmedabad.
An official announcement of his new appointment is expected shortly, the sources said.
