Gandhinagar, March 30 (IANS) With exactly a month to go before Gujarat holds elections April 30, poll officials will meet here Tuesday to review arrangements for polling.
Deputy Election Commissioner J.P. Prakash will review the poll preparations through discussions on voter lists, sensitive booths and the implementation of the model code of conduct with all the district collectors of the state.
This will be his first visit to Gujarat after the poll dates were announced by the chief election commissioner last month, an official from the state election office here said Monday.
He said the CEC is expected to make some announcements regarding the number of sensitive booths and the deployment of security personnel on poll duty in the state.
