Grenade attack injures three in Manipur
January 10th, 2012 - 9:36 pm ICT by IANSImphal, Jan 10 (IANS) At least three people were injured when militants lobbed a grenade outside the residence of a Trinamool Congress candidate Tuesday in election-bound Manipur, police said.
It was the second attack of its kind in one week.
A police spokesperson said the attackers targeted K. Joykishen, on the outskirts of Imphal. Three bystanders were injured. Joykishen was at his residence when the attack took place.
On Wednesday, an election office of the ruling Congress party came under grenade attack although no one was injured. Elections to the 60-member assembly take place Jan 28.
