Illinois, Feb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) President Barack Obama has completed only one year of his administration and it appears that the political scenario of the United States has significantly changed in these months. Democrats have lost their Filibuster majority in the Senate after Democrat candidate Martha Coakley lost the Massachusetts election against Republican Scott Brown. As the political scenario of the country is extremely volatile at this moment, both the political parties are acting cautiously to retain their popularity among the masses. The primary election for selecting the representatives to run for the Illinois gubernatorial race is over and candidates are waiting for the results.
According to the latest updates of the Illinois primary election, eighty-two percent votes have been counted and the results so far indicates that Comptroller Dan Hynes is trailing behind Governor Pat Quinn by few votes. Though there is no official confirmation, sources stated that Governor Pat Quinn has received 51% votes while Comptroller Dan Hynes has 49% votes in his favor. As the lead is very modest, the results can change anytime.
