New Jersey, Jan 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Scandals seem to be the order of the day. Even eminent politicians seem to be infected by it. The governor of New York, Dave Paterson, was seen in a steakhouse in Edgewater in New Jersey, called the River Palm Terrace, cosying up to a woman far younger to him in age. The scandalous incident came to the notice of the press on the afternoon of Jan 16. What makes the matter a real scandal is the fact that the woman was not his wife; in fact, no one really seems to be privy to the identity of the mysterious lady.

All that is known of the woman is that she looked Latin American by origin, and that she was evidently less than half the age of the governor, somewhere around her 20s. The governor of New York, Dave Paterson, was spotted sitting close to the mystery woman, as reported by Sharon Farrell, one of the eminent lawyers, who was seated just a few tables away. He had apparently been spotted in a very intimate posture, kissing the neck of the enigmatic beauty.

When asked about the matter, a spokesperson for the governor commented that the meeting had been a very formal one, and that no question arose of the two being seated intimately. Dave Paterson himself attempted to clear up the matter, asserting that the woman who was sitting with him was one of his employees. However, the witnesses of the scene were equally emphatic that the meeting could no way have been a formal one, judging from the intimacy of the two.
