Governor Crist applauds passing of Florida Jobs Bill

TALLAHASSE, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) – Governor Charlie Crist on Friday applauded the passing of Senate Bill 1752, which is better known as Florida’s Jobs Bill.

Florida’s Jobs Bill provides strategic investments in a number of priority areas which is expected to trigger a job growth, business development and ensure long-term economic expansion for the state’s citizens.

The Jobs Bill focuses in four priority areas: business expansion and relocation, small business assistance, empowering space coast industry and relief to unemployed workers and assistance to distressed and rural communities. It will provide approximately $75 million in funding to start with.

“The recovery and long-term health of Florida’s economy is closely tied to the ability to attract and retain high-wage jobs and innovative industries in Florida. I applaud the Florida Legislature for supporting a bill that provides high-wage jobs for Floridians and aids in the diversification of Florida’s economy,” said Crist.
