jindal Louisiana, July 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Louisiana governor - Bobby Jindal has signed a bill into law that would make guns in church legal.

The law, which was signed yesterday, would be implemented from August 15 2010, in the US State of Louisiana. The bill was initially rejected when it was introduced but it was later accepted, when the bill was added to another gun bill.

But anti-gun violence advocates are really bitter about the bill and they have started a campaign against the law.

The bill allows people who have been trained for at least eight hours on tactical training in a year, to take a gun into the church, mosque, synagogue or any other place where religious people gather. The law says the head of the religious institution would announce to the members in the institution the names of all the people who qualify to carry guns or who are carrying guns.

But the new law has been highly criticized by most people, who feel place of worship should not be defiled with guns and weapons.

Bobby Jindal has been in the news recently for several reasons. He is still pushing with legislators to allow him build big sand banks to block the oil spill.
